In this article the author is not showing her opinion she is just simply telling the story of Donald trumps tariff laws. The article starts off talking about hoe trump is imposing the tariffs on steal 25 percent and the tariffs on aluminum by 10 percent. Next, the article shows the feelings of president trump on the matter by giving some quotes such as, " People have no idea how badly our country has been treated by other countries". The article next shows the chart of where the most steel and aluminum imports come from to inform the reader to better understand the article. It also shows how Canada said that they might not have any other choice than to retaliate regarding the tariff.  

My personal opinion on the topic is that this tariff will really help our country. It will create more jobs  for people because steal and aluminum plants that originated in there US but moved to other countries to take advantage of the old tariffs will be forced to move their operation back into the states. Also, it will not allow us to lose approximately 500 billion dollars a year due to the steal and aluminum issue.

new semester reflection

Three thing that I learned in the fall semester that I can use in the spring semester are that tutorial is a very important and useful time, take good notes so that when exams come around you are prepared to study, and to use your time wisely especially while participating in afterschool activities. If you don’t use your teacher’s knowledge at tutorial you are more likely to make bad grades. During the first quarter I came to a realization that high-school is a big step up. So a good way to adjust to this step up is to create ways to help success like setting reminders and setting goals. You can set reminders on your laptop using the reminders app or using the calender built into your computer. You could also use a paper calenderer to keep track of your stuff. These are two techniques that I use to try to help me to remember to do my work. My goals for this semester are to make As and Bs while participating in baseball.
